I sit here and listen to music, relaxing on my bed, having the privacy of my own room. But then in a couple of months I will be in a dorm. An 11x12 room, 2 twin size beds and 2 desks, a mini fridge and a closet for 2 people. The person will probably be thinking the same thing I am. In a state where I have no idea who anyone is and most especially being miles and miles away from my parents. In a little town called Terre Haute is where I will be. It’s a fresh new start, new air, new people, new environment. A new chapter in my life will begin. Going from walking down the hallways of blake high school and saying hi to more then half of the people that are walking the same direction I am to walking across a campus rushing to get to my next class. Probably bumping into random strangers on my way there. Sitting down in in front of my laptop writing essay after essay, thinking if I was back at home I could be in my living room or at starbucks sharing a coffee with my best friend. I sometimes really don’t want to leave Maryland but I have to begin to live my life on my own. Proving my parents that they raised a winner not a quitter.
I haven’t been on my tumblr in like foreverrr! Time to come back :)

I watch my mother walking hand by hand with my baby brother. Holding him, giving him kisses, brushing her beautiful small petite hands on his rosy cheeks. The innocence of a child and the love of a mother. I can picture myself giving that love to my future child. Having to hold them in my arms after working so hard for 9 months. It makes me appreciate my mother so much and. It makes me want to become that great mother. I couldn’t ask for a better person then my mommy. The person who had to go through so much just to be able to sit on her couch and watch t.v. This woman is my hero.
I am scared of the things you can actually do to me.
